Introduction & Creating a FB Page

Hey ya’ll! Happiest of Tuesday’s hope you are doing well. Things are heating up on FB so i’m going to jump right into this week’s post.

Quick reminders- HI Im Tim, I run the FB Marketing department here at Prospect Bacon. Every Tuesday i’ve been given the privilege of dreaming up an article that I think will provide value for you all and drop it here 😍.

This week I want to talk about making a FB page for your business to advertise from.

Doing lead gen on FB is pretty simple really. But there are a bunch of little parts that need to work in concert and your FB page is a really important one.

You can’t run a conversion ad without having made a page first. So let’s get one made!

1.Navigate to your business manager (business.facebook.com)

2.Click on the hamburger menu in the upper left corner and select ‘business settings’

3.Under accounts, go down to pages.

4.Select the ‘add’ button, and select ‘create a new page’

5.Now enter your business’ info and follow the prompts.

Choosing a Name for your FB Page

A couple things to consider before choosing a name for your page:

Do you want to ‘hide the salesman’ with your page’s name?

Some think this is beneficial because no one wants to be sold to. However, people complain a lot that they feel like they cannot trust companies, and those same folks may ascribe to the saying that people don’t want to be sold to but they do want to buy. So make your own choice here but for my money at the moment, if you are a brick and mortar business or you plan to be in a particular region selling solar for quite some time, it’s going to benefit you to create some local brand recognition by using your company or personal name as the page’s name. That can translate into trust the 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 20th time that someone sees your ad running and they are finally ready to buy.

That being said, if you are remote, or you don’t plan to be in an area for very long, or you want to ‘hide the salesman’, I recommend using something that has a strong connection to the region you are marketing in.

Auto Moderation & Content Strategy For Your Page

Just a couple more things before wrapping this one up–

Auto moderation. Go into your page’s settings and turn the profanity filter up, and find a list of the worst words you can imagine to add to your auto mod word ban list. If you want to use one of ours, feel free: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dPTAfDs6KGnX_g1HJk3zSKBLiRULoZZVRRIXxQAeoj0/edit?usp=sharing

If you don’t know how to add the auto mod doc, just go to your pages settings, go to content moderation, and copy/paste all the wonderful words from that list up there. FB can be a tough place and the comments section is no exception. These couple things will help keep things a little cleaner for your audience and keep you from having a bunch of mindless strangers screaming SCAM in your comments for no reason :D.

Page score / content strategy: Your page is going to have a relevancy score That relevancy score, determined by FB based on feedback from users hitting your page as well as other data points, plays a part in FB determining the CPM (Cost per 1000 impressions) of the ads that you run from this page.

THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT. On top of affecting CPM, if your page score gets too low, they can just restrict your page from advertising 😭.

So why is a content strategy important? If you are posting relevant content, somewhat regularly to your audience, which is going to be people in the area you are serving, you are going to get and maintain a higher page score. This can pay huge dividends in your future.

To quickly understand CPM, imagine a page with a great page score and $10 CPMS. Now imagine another page that has a bad page score and has $20 CPMs. The page with $10 CPMs is going to win. If these two pages are running the same ads on the same budget, the one with a good page score is getting 2x the eyeballs on their ads for the same ad spend!!

You don’t have to kill yourself making a content strategy, just decide how often you are going to post, put it on your calendar, and do it. Post news stories, opinion polls, helpful solar tips and tricks, or whatever. And if you really don’t feel like writing the article just hire it out to someone on fiverr or have jarvis help you or something 😉.

Do all these things in conjunction with some 🔥 paid ads and you are well on your way to amazing CPLs, great conversion rates, low CPMs and most importantly, more sales 🔥🔥🤑🤑

Hope you are having a great week. Q1 of 2022 is looking stellar. As always, im happy to chat in the DMs or comment section below–and if you want to partner up with someone who eats, sleeps and breathes this stuff, hit us up! https://www.prospectbacon.com/consultation?source=Tim%27s%20Post
